bundchen mansion

It seems that the saying is true – when money is not an object, you really can ‘have it all’.

Hence, it really is not a big surprise when new celebrity power couple and winners of the genetic lottery, Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady recently moved into their palatial dream mansion, reportedly worth $20 million just a few weeks before the Super Bowl 2012 is set to start.

The highest paid supermodel of all time, with an estimated net worth of $150 million, and her NFL sports superhero husband, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady added this new digs to their real estate collection probably to have a place in California to relax in once the always tension-filled football series come to a close.

The genetically-endowed power couple reportedly bought the land in 2008 for a cool $11 million, but did not start construction until last summer because they found the original proposed design ‘too small’.

Now, the two-winged house which is located in the hills, perfect for the hike-loving couple, has eight bedrooms, a six-car garage, a lagoon-shaped pool with spa, a weights room, a nursery for their two-year old son and its very own wine cellar.

The two wings of the house are connected by a bridge, and there just has to be an elevator and a butler’s room.

Oh, and let us not forget that the house also boasts of ‘green’ features such as rooftop solar panels and a rainwater recovery system — Just doing their share for the environment.

Gisele, known the world over for her various product endorsements and sizzling moments on the fashion catwalk wearing Victoria’s Secret lingerie, and her sports superstar pretty boy hubby Tom moved into their new address in affluent Brentwood, LA a few days ago with son Benjamin having all of 22,000 square feet of space to roam around in – since he has already probably been weaned from Gisele.

adriana lima kia

What could an iconic rock band, a hot supermodel, a mixed martial arts superstar and an extraordinary mid-sized sedan possibly have in common? Well, these are just some of the things that Generation X’ers would dream of.

This is probably what Kia Motors thought of when they made the new commercial for Kia Optima that is set to debut during the NBC broadcast of Super Bowl XLVI on Sunday night.

The rising car manufacturer from Seoul, Korea had a target market in the Kia Optima. This is why they tapped Brazilian supermodel Adriana Lima, Glam Rock band Motley Crue and former Ultimate Fighting Championship fighter Chuck Liddell to appear in their latest commercial for the Super Bowl. The spot will last 60 seconds and will debut during the fourth quarter of the game between the New England Patriots and New York Giants.

There is no question that Adriana Lima is one of the more popular supermodels of her generation. She is now married to former National Basketball Association (NBA) player Marko Jaric and they have a two-year old child. Yet the Brazilian supermodel mom still has a following among the Gen X male population and then some female fans too.

Motley Crue plays the song “Kickstart My Heart” in the commercial spot. Who would not recognize the band led by bassist Nikki Sixx and drummer Tommy Lee? They are still very much active in the music scene with shows going on at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.

Chuck Liddell may have retired from professional mixed martial arts but he has become the ambassador of the sport that has overtaken boxing in terms of popularity. The Iceman is still one of the most recognizable names in mixed martial arts as he along with part-time actor Randy ‘The Natural’ Couture and Tito Ortiz paved the way for the sport that also saw former WWE superstar Brock Lesnar bring the once underground sport into mainstream acceptance.

The choice of endorsers would surely be a hit among the target market for Kia’s 2012 Optima mid-sized sedan. Catch the Kia Motors “Drive the Dream” campaign that will feature these icons on Sunday night at Super Bowl XLVI.

This power couple definitely has it all, great looks, great body, super-stellar fame and overflowing money. But , apparently there is one thing supermodel Gisele Bundchen and husband, New England Patriots quarterback, Tom Brady thinks they do not have – a direct line to heaven.

Thus, the Brazilian catwalk queen felt the urgent need to write what most people thought was a sappy email to friends and family to implore them to pray for her hubby and send positive vibes to his team, the New England Patriots, as Super Bowl XLVI kicks off on Sunday.

Portions of Gisele’s email read,

“My sweet friends and family, This sunday will be a really important day in my husband’s life. He and his team worked so hard to get to this point and now they need us more than ever to send them positive energy so they can fulfill their dream of winning this super bowl . . .

“So I kindly ask all of you to join me on this positive chain and pray for him, so he can feel confident, healthy and strong. Envision him happy and fulfilled experiencing with his team a victory this sunday.

“Thank you for your love and support. Love, G :)”

When asked via email to comment on the matter, Bundchen said, “I am surprised that you received this e-mail; it was a private note only sent to close friends and family.”

Whoever leaked Gisele’s email might have had the best intentions of portraying Gisele as a loving and prayerful wife, but quite a number of readers saw it differently. To many, the ‘sappy’ email portrays Gisele as not having full faith and confidence in Tom Brady’s capability to lead his team to victory in this year’s Super Bowl – very much unlike Brady himself who boasted earlier in the week that, “We’re going down there, and were going down there for one reason . . . hopefully we’ll have a lot more people at our party next weekend.”

Or maybe, Gisele really just believes in the power of prayer. Let’s give her that people, instead of thinking the worst about her.

madonna

The material girl has definitely not lost her luster. Decades after fascinating the world with her ‘eccentric’ looks, multicolored hair, burning crosses and cone bras, Madonna is still at it, commanding the interest and attention of people, young and old, to her music and her often-time controversial performances.

The NFL knows this all too well, and after the seemingly lackluster entertainment they showcased for last year’s Super Bowl, they went with all guns blazing this year and officially booked Madonna to provide this year’s halftime extravaganza.

This is why this year’s Super Bowl opening salvo is being touted to as a Brady-Manning-Madonna must-see spectacular.

Madonna will reportedly collaborate with choreographer Jamie King, who has worked with the late Michael Jackson, and Cirque du Soleil no less to come up with a headline-worthy 12-minute performance.

Will Madonna be moon-walking or doing aerial acrobatic moves, the very same kind that Cirque du Soleil is known for? We will have to wait for the Super Bowl kick-off on Sunday to find out.

The pop icon’s halftime performance is very much anticipated that people even resorted to consulting a supposed leakage of her set list if only to find out what she will be doing. According to the leaked set list, Madonna is set to perform her newest single, “Gimmie All Your Luvin,” and classics like, “Ray of Light”, “Music, “Holiday” and “Vogue.”

Reports cited a blurb in the new NFL Magazine which stated, “Though Madonna’s set list was not officially announced at press time, fans might expect her to give all her luvin’, provide a ray of light and be in vogue with her music.  The Super Bowl is almost a national holiday, after all.”

Madonna has since denied the veracity of the leaked set list, which leaves Super Bowl fans in the dark as to what she has in store for them come Sunday as she takes the stage at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

Super Bowl 46 kicks off on February 5 with the New England Patriots battling the New York Giants.

So, it seems Super Bowl 46, or at least the first kick-off game, will really be a Brady-Manning-Madonna extravaganza.
