Aside from the superb game itself, some of the viewers of the Super Bowl match are critics and business minded people who are waiting for the notable companies who were able to secure the expensive advertisement spot that was said to be approximately $3.5-4 million.

Who would not want to avail the spot anyway? It will be viewed not only by the entire United States but by the millions even billions of Super Bowl fans all over the world.

However, having the spot isn’t enough, your ad company should be that clever to pull off a worthy commercial that could totally promote your product thus fulfilling its purpose.

We’ve enlisted 5 of the best Super Bowl commercials this year that had obviously captured our attention and had displayed the ample amount of worthiness.

5. Happy Grad – Chevrolet

The entire commercial is so funny that you would be left thinking what will happen if the truth would be revealed to the overwhelmed newly grad. A chevy for a gift is something to be overwhelmed indeed.

4. Century 21 Agents

The ad clearly showed how worth it to hire a century 21 agent. They were able to utilize the right people in the industry.

3. A Dream Car. For Real Life – Kia Optima

They showed that dreams can be true and Kia Optima is one of those dreams that has been made possible. A job well done to gather all the big personalities in one commercial.

2. GO RUN Mr. Quiggly! – Skechers

The aim is clear. There is no way a French Bulldog could defeat all those greyhounds but with Skechers Go Run, it can be the fastest among them. The cameo appearance of Mark Cuban also adds the beauty of the ad.

1. The Dog Strikes Back – Volkswagen

A lot of stories portrayed within the 76 second ad. Discipline, determination, pride and inspiration have been well displayed for a better and newer look.

The Giants is indeed very serious in this game. They ended the first quarter with 9 points without letting the Patriots get a single score.

When the game started, both are equally tight on each other but at 8:52, safety was called after the intentional ground call as Brady was quite pressured and threw the ball to no one while he’s on the end zone thus allowing the number to fill in the score boards 2-0 for the Giants.

Then came the rushing Manning who gets to connect with Victor Cruz for a two-yard touchdown catch adding 7 points more.

On the other hand, for those waiting for the ads, first up is Budweiser’s Bud Light Platinum beer. Another one is for GE and the greatness of having Samsung Galaxy SII.

In few minutes the half time show will be shown and everyone’s equally excited for it as well.

Stay tuned!

What could an iconic rock band, a hot supermodel, a mixed martial arts superstar and an extraordinary mid-sized sedan possibly have in common? Well, these are just some of the things that Generation X’ers would dream of.

This is probably what Kia Motors thought of when they made the new commercial for Kia Optima that is set to debut during the NBC broadcast of Super Bowl XLVI on Sunday night.

The rising car manufacturer from Seoul, Korea had a target market in the Kia Optima. This is why they tapped Brazilian supermodel Adriana Lima, Glam Rock band Motley Crue and former Ultimate Fighting Championship fighter Chuck Liddell to appear in their latest commercial for the Super Bowl. The spot will last 60 seconds and will debut during the fourth quarter of the game between the New England Patriots and New York Giants.

There is no question that Adriana Lima is one of the more popular supermodels of her generation. She is now married to former National Basketball Association (NBA) player Marko Jaric and they have a two-year old child. Yet the Brazilian supermodel mom still has a following among the Gen X male population and then some female fans too.

Motley Crue plays the song “Kickstart My Heart” in the commercial spot. Who would not recognize the band led by bassist Nikki Sixx and drummer Tommy Lee? They are still very much active in the music scene with shows going on at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.

Chuck Liddell may have retired from professional mixed martial arts but he has become the ambassador of the sport that has overtaken boxing in terms of popularity. The Iceman is still one of the most recognizable names in mixed martial arts as he along with part-time actor Randy ‘The Natural’ Couture and Tito Ortiz paved the way for the sport that also saw former WWE superstar Brock Lesnar bring the once underground sport into mainstream acceptance.

The choice of endorsers would surely be a hit among the target market for Kia’s 2012 Optima mid-sized sedan. Catch the Kia Motors “Drive the Dream” campaign that will feature these icons on Sunday night at Super Bowl XLVI.

The Super Bowl is more than a sporting event showcasing the best that football has to offer, it is an advertisement extravaganza. And why not, over a 150 million people watch it the world over!

So never mind if an advertiser has to cough up $3.5 million for a 30-second spot in a Super Bowl 46 game, hope springs eternal that they will be able to recoup more than five times that amount because of the worldwide exposure.

Last year, Volkswagen saw a revival of interest in their vehicles as their Star Wars’ Darth Vader-inspired and aptly titled “The Force” ad got millions of views online even before the commercial itself on TV.

For this year’s Super Bowl 46, it looks like Matthew Broderick’s reprisal of his Ferris Bueller role, back in the 1980s, for Honda CR-V is the one getting the most pre-Super Bowl online buzz with more than 3 million views just for the first 24 hours.

According to RPA executive creative director, Joe Baratelli, their agency decided to celebrate the re-designed Honda CR-V as a vehicle not just for running chores, but for enjoying life. “When we found out the timing of the launch of the CR-V, we felt it would be a great tent pole for the entire campaign, which centers around making a list of things you want to do before the things you have to do. ‘Before you make a leap, make a list’.

RPA then got Paramount, Matthew Broderick and ‘The Hangover’ director, Todd Phillips, to work on the Honda advertisement, which is now a YouTube sensation.

Other carmaker ads or teasers on the top 5 of the Super Bowl 2012 ads season include, Chevy’s ‘Happy Grad’, Volkswagen’s ‘Bark Side’,  Suzuki’s ‘Sled’ and Audi’s ‘Vampire Party’.
