The entire game takes an overtime to seal in the sure win. It was a tough game to deal with along with the home court advantage but the New York Giants was able to pull everything through.

The San Francisco crowd had a great game but can’t cheer that much as their team wasn’t able to grab the NFC title.

Giants’ victory would somehow be attributed to Lawrence Tynes’ power kick. That powerful kick for the 31-yard field goal at overtime that Tyke did after Manning gave the final short dive which concluded the 20-17 victory over the San Francisco 49ers.

“It’s my second NFC championship game, my second game-winner,” Tynes said. “It’s amazing. I had dreams about this last night. It was from 42, not 31, but I was so nervous today before the game just anticipating this kind of game. I’m usually pretty cool, but there was something about tonight where I knew I was going to have to make a kick. Hats off to Eli, offense, defense. Great win.”

All in all, Manning finished with 32 of 58 for 316 yards and two touchdowns, Victor Cruz on the hand made 8 out of 10 interceptions and finished with 142 yards.

“It’s just been a tremendous effort by all of us, man, we understand that any one of us can get hot at any moment. As long as we’re all on the same page and just playing together, man, we’ve got a great group of guys,” Cruz said.

It’s not that much of a shocker but eventually, according to sources, Gregg Williams has accepted a position for the St. Louis Rams. He has been around the NFL world for quite some time and has proven a lot in his career. In fact, he has been sought after by a lot of teams that even lead New Orleans Saints’ head coach Sean Payton took a voluntary $250,000 cut in salary to help facilitate his signing with the team last January 15, 2009.

Williams being a defensive coordinator is known for running aggressive, attacking 4-3 schemes that would always give the opposing quarterbacks a hard time in every game.

Now he will working yet again with Rams’ head coach Jeff Fisher whom he worked with when Fisher was the head coach at Tennessee sometime in 1997-2000.

Williams career in NFL has a lot of ups and downs and was even fired twice but nonetheless, his defensive coaching skills has placed him in the pedestal. Teams were still fighting over his sign up in the recent NFL seasons.

On the other hand, it has also been rumored that Rams will be hiring former New York Jets offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer and he already accepted the offer.

If you’re looking for the perfect time to place your ads at this time of the year, better place the Super Bowl ad spot on the top of your list as this is going to be the time when millions of viewers are present.

NBC will be airing the awesome event but sad to say, as early as this time, ad posts are already sold out. All of the 30-seconds ad spot of the upcoming February 5 game is no longer available.

These ad spots cost that much reaching $3.5-4 million and your only chance to avail one is when some of the companies will back out.

According to senior vice president of NBC Sports group sales & marketing, Seth Winter, the last ad spot was sold sold just after Thanksgiving last year.

“There are the usual companies that have supported it in the past. Automotive will be very healthy. Beverages will be very healthy. The movie and snack category continue to be healthy. There will be a few new players and some who have been there, who won’t be there,” Winter said.

The name of the companies were not disclosed yet to avoid hints to competitors. In the past Super Bowl games, Anheuser-Busch InBev, Coca-Cola and Godaddy.com are among the regular companies.

What a great game indeed! For the second time around, the New York Giants proved to the Patriots that they truly deserve the Vince Lombardi trophy.

Everyone’s all eyes to the last few minutes of the game as anything could possibly happen. The score difference just can’t get any longer. No one can ever predict how things will turn out. The only thing left is to watch and wait.

Super Bowl XLVI is truly one of its kind with record breaking stints. This is the game when Tom Brady had the phenomenal 14 consecutive yard pass surpassing Kurt Warner’s record. Although the game didn’t favor the Pats, still anyone can call it as a Brady-game. He also tied with Terry Bradshaw for 2nd all time with 9 Super Bowl TDs.

The first quarter was somewhat a ‘Giants-dominated’ spot when it ended with a scoreless Patriots but towards the last 8 seconds of the first half, Brady amazingly had a 96-yard touchdown ending it with a single point lead.

The halftime show was also amazing with the 53-year old Madonna who could proudly say she still rocks more than any young performers of this generation.

Then 3rd quarter came, the 96-yard touchdown of Brady was then followed by another 79-yard TD that drove the crowd wilder than ever as the score rose to 17-9 with 11-20 remaining on the 3rd Q. The Giants this time tighten their defense and settled for a 38-yard field goal by Lawrence Tynes thus changing the scores to 17-12 with 21:43 left on the same quarter. Another 33-yard field goal for Tynes happened now at 17-15.

At 3:46 to go on the last quarter, Eli Manning passed a 38-yard sideline cruise missile to Mario Manningham and lead switch places, 21-17 this time. Too early to celebrate yet as the anything can happen, knowing that it’s Tom Brady who managed to deliver things in seconds.

Indeed Brady tried and had a long pass to a twisting Wes Welker who unfortunately wasn’t able to catch it and that ends their game.

For the second time around, Eli Manning defeated Tom Brady in as far as Tom Coughlin defeated Bill Belichik.

As what they always say, expect the unexpected in this very tough game. Who would have thought that at the remaining 8 seconds of the second quarter, a record-breaking and historic 96-yard touchdown drive would be made by no other than Tom Brady thus ending the quarter with a point lead 10-9.

He passed John Elway and Joe Montana into 2nd place all time in Super Bowl yards with 1,148 (Kurt Warner 1st w/ 1,156). He made the crowd crazy for this superb skill.

With this kind of play that Brady is showing, the odds and predictions of all NFL critics and fans now become vague as ever as this game is definitely unpredictable.

Now everyone prepares to witness the halftime show with it’s awesome concert stage.

Meanwhile, for NBCSports.com’s Twitter battle, Giants now up to 55% against 45% of the Patriots. No wonder anytime from now these percentage will meet at 50-50.
